Order allocation engine refers to assigning of order pickup to relevant warehouse. A business may be operating from multiple warehouses, order is assigned to a particular warehouse based on multiple factors such as type of product, delivery location, etc.

AWB

Airway bill is referred to as AWB. When a specific consignment is transported via a courier firm, typically by air, an airway bill serves as the bill of lading. The logistics provider or air carrier that is picking up your package to deliver it to the customer issues an AWB. AWB  also acts as proof that the transporter actually received the items since it's a legal agreement enforceable by law. An AWB can be used to calculate several characteristics of a shipment, including the status of delivery, the present location of the shipment, bookings, etc. It should also include the shipper's name and address, the consignee's name and address, the destination airport, and value of contents.

Zone

Zone in logistics is used a proxy for distance travlled in shipping. Most courier partners define regions such as North, South, East, West or Special regions (this demarcates areas where cost of operations is higher than other parts of the country. For instance cost of operations in North East and Jammu, Kashmir is high due to difficult terrain). Zone is then defined as movement of shipments within the same city, within the same region, between two different regions, from metro to metro or to/from Special Regions.
