Consignee

Consignee is typically the owner of the shipment. It is the person who is finally going to receive the order. There are three stakeholders in the process of the shipment that are consignor, the consignee, and the carrier. Consignor is the seller who ships out the goods via a carrier. A consignee should always be present at the time of delivery.



If the value of the goods being transported in a single invoice exceeds Rs. 50,000, a GST registered person is required to generate an e-way bill on the website ewaybillgst.gov.in in order to transport the goods in a vehicle.


